Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is based on a belief in creating opportunities for dialogue and active class participation. With a majority of my teaching load currently in the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program, I place an emphasis on training future library and information professionals to be responsible and engaged public intellectuals. I also teach in the undergraduate Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT) program and the Library and Information Science (LIS) PhD program. My teaching portfolio will likely grow and adapt in the coming years, both within my current program areas of teaching and potentially within the Media Studies program as well.
